Free Camping Planner

Planner

This camping planner is perfect whether you are a first timer or a seasoned pro. Simply download and print the free sheets to stay on track and organized this summer. We have two options for you. A simple black and white copy where you get all the benefits of the camping planner without using too much ink. Or a beautiful color copy with a cute camping themed background. Either option is perfect.

Too busy to print this right away? Pin it for later! Pin this post to your favorite camping board on Pinterest and it’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready.

What will you get in your Camping Planner?

Our favorite page will be the first page in the planner. Make sure to use the Campground Reservation Log. There you will be able to keep track of the basic information of the campground all in one place. But the best part of the log is you can write down which site numbers you really like or ones you would never stay on.

When we walk our dogs around campgrounds we like to make notes about sites in case we stay at the campground again. Sometimes a friend asks for our advice about staying at a campground we have stayed at. We can easily see what sites are the best and the ones that might not be our favorites. Some reasons could be they are too small of sites, seems like it floods easily, or unleveled.

Make sure to use your Weekly Meal Planner and Shopping List. Meal planning is very important to us. It takes some of the stress away while camping if we don’t have to worry about what we should eat each day. We can pack just the food we need and not have to waste time going to a store while we camp.

Our Favorite Meal Ideas:

Breakfast– scrambled eggs and bacon, chocolate chip pancakes and sausage, or egg McBob’s (like an egg McMuffin)

Lunch– mac and cheese, sandwiches, hot dogs on the fire, or left overs from prior dinners.

Dinners– stir fry, tacos, hamburgers, foil packet meals (hobo meals), or stews.

Dessert- smores (lots of varieties for smores), campfire banana boat, smores cone, or anything pudgy pie.

The Camping Trip Packing List is great to help you remember all those little things that you might forget. Like Q-tips, toiletry items or how many of each clothing items you will need for that trip. You can print an extra copy of this for each child. Write down exactly what and how many things they should be packing. This will help them learn some independence and free you up to pack your items.

We always recommend doing a quick check on their belongings. Let’s just say we know from experience when we didn’t double check. 😉

The RV Set-Up and Tear-Down List may be something you think you won’t need if you have been camping for a while. We seem to have our list memorized and are pretty good about double checking each other.

If you are new to camping we highly recommend you write down everything you should do and in what order you need to do it in. When we picked up our trailer from the dealer, they went through all of it with us. Over the years we have tweaked what we do and have added new things to our list. But accidentally missing a step could cause damage to the trailer or someone nearby.

We recommend using this checklist to be a standard practice for you.

We probably use the RV Repair Log more than we would like to. When you are towing your “home” down the road for miles and then setting up and tearing down multiple times, you are bound to have wear and tear. During trips we will find things that need to be repaired but can wait till we get back home. If it’s minor we don’t want to forget about it before it becomes a big problem. By writing it down in our log we know that the problem will be addressed.

Your camping Bucket List can be used for each trip or just in general things you eventually want to see or do. This is another fantastic page for your children. If they are old enough, they can research and write their own list of things they want to do. This can be interesting if you have more than one child. When comparing their lists, they may differ significantly. Either way this is a great way to start brainstorming things you can do while you are traveling.

Disney is permanently on Brian’s bucket list. LOL
