Unlock the magic: save money on official Disney Merchandise
Do you want to know a Disney souvenir/merchandise secret? You can get official Disney merchandise at a big discount shopping at Disney’s Character Warehouse.
We know when it comes to Disney shopping it can put a dent in your wallet. But for those of us that are always looking for a good bargain, there are two locations to score some major deals for officially licensed Disney products.
Just Keep swimming: TWO GREAT LOCATIONS
In Orlando, there are two Character Warehouse locations. One is located in the Vineland Orlando Premium Outlets. This one is near Disney Springs.
The second one is located in the Orlando International Premium Outlets. This one is near Universal Studios.
There is a third location in Sunrise, Florida, closer to Fort Lauderdale. We have never been there so we can’t compare this location.
What is Disney’s Character Warehouse?
Disney’s Character Warehouse is Disney’s version of a clearance section but is a whole store of exclusive Disney Parks merchandise. It feels a little extra magical for your wallet. Most of the items tend to fall in the range of 25% -75% off retail prices.
Available merchandise can be from past seasons/holidays, old styles, past events, Disney Cruise Lines, Disneyland California, Tokyo, Shanghai, etc. Most of the items have been taken off the shelves in the theme parks and sold here, so you won’t find many current items.
They have apparel for adults and kids, accessories like ears, home goods (Jen’s favorite), pins, toys, and so much more. You might even find discounts on big names like Loungfly, Vera Bradley, Pandora, Crocs, and Dooney & Bourke.
Which Disney Character Warehouse is better?
We feel like there are pros and cons to both locations. The Warehouse closest to Disney Springs is larger and is closer to Disney. With it being closer to Disney it tends to be a little busier. The really good items may sell out faster than the other location.
The Character Warehouse near Universal tends to be less crowded but significantly smaller. With the smaller crowds comes the ability to score better deals but not necessarily the variety.
Both stores have the potential to be busy, especially on weekends. We recommend going first thing in the morning to try and get the best items before they sell out. We have been to both stores multiple times. Sometimes we like what both places have to offer and other times it’s night and day at each store. If you have the chance to visit both stores that would be the best.
For example, we found the Disney 100th anniversary MagicBand+ for $20 in 2023. They were at the store closest to Universal but not the one near Disney Springs. Maybe it had already sold out there or they hadn’t been shipped there yet. Either way, we like to check out both stores for this reason. You really don’t know what you will find at either place.
Is it worth it?
Absolutely! We make sure we have time in our schedule to visit at least one, if not both stores. We get a lot of our clothes and household items there. The Warehouse is definitely somewhere we recommend you visit at least once during a trip to Orlando. They are regularly getting new merchandise so you could even go at the beginning and end of your vacation to see what new items have been delivered.
